Etisalat ACB Columns

2500A ACB columns used for generator synchronising panel. This board was supplied direct export to Tyco Electronics (previously Dorman Smith) in Dubai, for use by Etisalat. Some vital statistics :-

  • 6300A main bars
  • 8 x 2500A ACB incomers/feeders (4 in, 4 out) all 4 pole.
  • 3 x 6300A ACB Buscouplers all 4 pole.
  • Total copper content around 10,000kg, Total length 12m.

St. Germans Drives - Now completed wiring

The new pumping station at St. Germans is designed to pump 100 cubic metres per second, which is nearly 5 olympic swimming pools every 2 minutes. It will help to drain land around Kings Lynn and prevent flooding.

In the UK there are only 4 olympic sized pools (50m x 25m) at the moment, with 2 more to follow shortly (Sunderland 2008 and London 2012). So these pumps will be able to fill all 6 up in 2.5 minutes. (The other 20 or so 50m pools in the UK are not wide enough to be classed as olympic).
